UN nuclear chief warns Ukraine nuclear plant is ‘completely out of control’

The UN’s nuclear chief Rafael Grossi has said that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in southeastern Ukraine (Europe’s largest) “is completely out of control” and issued a plea to Russian and Ukraine to allow international experts to visit the plant. Marco Werman speaks to Henry Sokolski, executive director of the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center, who also served as deputy for nonproliferation policy during the George H.W. Bush administration, to explore the diplomatic complications of having inspectors visit the plant.
