Ukrainian zoo staff struggle to save traumatized animals

A zoo in Kyiv, Ukraine, was under occupation for more than a month at the beginning of the war. No animals died but staff struggled to feed and keep the animals warm. Russian forces are now gone ,but the zoo has lost a dozen animals to stress. Ashley Westerman reports that zoos around Ukraine are struggling to keep animals healthy and safe, when many aren’t making enough money to cover costs.
