Ukraine’s mushrooms are plentiful. Tourists? Not so much.

Ukraine has a bumper crop of wild mushrooms this year, and locals say the mushrooms are helping them navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. But Ukrainians who work in mushroom tourism are hurting. Host Carol Hills speaks with Andriy Gnytka, who owns Green Ukraine, a company that plans mushroom foraging tours in Ukraine’s Carpathian mountains.
