Ukraine’s grain exports

Russia’s invasion in February put a stop to Ukraine’s agricultural exports. But a deal brokered in July by the UN with Russia, Ukraine and Turkey, opened up shipping lanes to allow grain to once again be exported. Now grain exports are threatened again as Russia has stopped participating in the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Host Marco Werman speaks with Joseph Glauber, a Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, about how Ukraine’s farmers have taken a major hit from the war.
