Ukraine ends battle for Mariupol

In Ukraine, the southern port city of Mariupol has become a symbol of Ukrainian resistance as troops fought against Russia’s military onslaught for more than 80 days. Now, after weeks of siege at the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, the last Ukrainian fighters mounting Ukraine’s resistance there appear to have ended their defense. Meanwhile, the fighting in other areas in Ukraine is ongoing. Host Marco Werman speaks with Dara Massicot, a senior policy researcher at the RAND Corporation, with a focus on defense and security issues in Russia and Eurasia.
