Ukraine calls to fast-track into NATO alliance

For seven years now, Russia and Ukraine have been at war. In Moscow, Russian officials talk about a Ukrainian “civil war.” But that overlooks the fact that this conflict started when Russian troops invaded Ukraine, first the Crimean Peninsula, and then eastern Ukraine. In recent days, the fighting has once again escalated. Now, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy  is making a very public request to join the NATO military alliance. The World’s Daniel Ofman reports.
