UK greenlights start of human challenge trials

The UK government announced Monday that it is funding the first stage of a human challenge trial for a coronavirus vaccine. That means if the trials get approval from UK regulators, volunteers will be injected with the coronavirus to eventually test trial vaccines in an effort to speed up their development. The World’s Carolyn Beeler reports.
