New York Knicks center Enes Kanter was supposed to be in London today. That’s where his team’s facing off against the Washington Wizards. Kanter, though, chose to skip the match. Kanter is a Turkish citizen who’s lived in the US for about a decade and is a vocal critic of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The government there has accused him of being part of a terrorist group and is reportedly trying to extradite him. The World’s Marco Werman speaks with reporter Shawn Carrie who is based in Turkey.
