Trans and nonbinary travelers continue to report discrimination 20 years after creation of the TSA

According to the latest survey, 43% of transgender travelers have experienced a problem at airport security due to their transgender identity. Issues often arise at the body scanners, which requires TSA officers to guess if a passenger is a man or a woman based on how they present themselves. The TSA says the advanced technology is in place to keep people safe, but advocates say it’s “security theater.” The World’s Bianca Hillier reports.
