Top French executives on trial for causing suicides

The World

A sweeping workplace bullying trial is wrapping up this week in Paris criminal court. France Telecom, which was the national telephone company, wanted to downsize. But the workers had jobs for life because of France’s generous labor laws. So the executives allegedly decided to make the workers lives as miserable as possible so they’d quit.
