The view from inside Perth’s bushfire

Two million people in and around Perth, Australia, went under a five-day lockdown on Sunday, after a single case of COVID-19 was identified. Just two days later, some of those people were given orders to evacuate as a bushfire raged out of control. The World’s Carolyn Beeler spoke with one woman in the evacuation zone about one sleepless night deciding whether to stay or go.
