The spread of monkeypox across the world highlights important lessons

An old virus that has been making a new appearance. The WHO reports that more than 1,000 cases of monkeypox have been identified in more than two dozen countries — countries that don’t typically see monkeypox. There’ve been no deaths, but the spread has put more places on alert. The World’s Elana Gordon reports on what we know, and how we got here.
