The Oxford English Dictionary updates its list of words related to climate change

The Oxford English Dictionary bills itself as “the definitive record of the English language.” The OED has issued an update of words related to climate change to coincide with the big UN climate meeting in Glasgow, Scotland, coming up at the end of the month. A sampling of the additions: global heating, climate refugee, eco-anxiety and ecocide. Marco Werman speaks with the OED’s science editor Trish Stewart about some of the new words and how the OED decides which words to add.
