The World

The protests led by farmers in India are entering their third month with no sign of ending. The government has conducted temporary internet shutdowns around Delhi after violent clashes between farmers and police over the weekend. Farmers make up the backbone of India, and they’re insisting that three farm laws passed in September be repealed. The farmers argue that the laws will decimate their earnings. Now, pop star Rihanna has tweeted her support for the farmers along with environmental activist Greta Thunberg. Marco Werman gets the latest from independent journalist Priyadarshini Sen in Delhi.
