During a press conference Monday, New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was relayed a question from young Kiwis: Is the Easter bunny considered an essential worker, too? Ardern reassured the children of New Zealand that the Easter bunny and Tooth Fairy will still be hard at work during the pandemic’s lockdown, but that they may have to take matters into their own hands and establish safe neighborhood hunts through windows.
