Legal issues have been raised by the March 26 collision of a Singapore-owned ship into Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge. Because the accident took place on the water, international maritime law may pertain to the rights of the crew and the owners of the container ship M/V Dali. Host Carolyn Beeler speaks with Jason Chuah, professor of commercial and maritime law at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia and City University London, about the application of maritime law – sometimes called admiralty law – in damage and liability claims.
