The culinary tradition of galette des rois, celebrated on Jan. 6, Christianity’s Epiphany Day, unites many French families. Baked into each dessert is a small feve or figurine of a child, sometimes said to be the baby Jesus. Whoever finds the feve in their slice becomes king for the day.
