In the Caucuses region, the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan goes back to the late 1980s. But after a 44-day war broke out in 2020, tensions have remained very high. Now, Azerbaijan is taking steps to establish control over the so-called Lachin Corridor. It’s the only road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia, which more than 100,000 Armenians still call home. At the same time, peace negotiations between the two countries continue. The World’s Daniel Ofman reports.
