Swipe, insert chip or tap. We use all three options when we pay with credit cards here in the US. But in the UK, tapping your card is by far more common. “Contactless payment” they call it. Beyond movie tickets and cups of coffee, contactless payment is taking hold in the last places where you might use pocket change. The BBC’s Paul Moss reports in west London.
