In Latvia — a northern European country on the Baltic Sea — the first day of school is like a holiday. Kids come to class dressed up with flowers for their teachers, ready to kick off a new academic year. But for American Latvian teenagers, summertime is their opportunity to experience school as Latvians at US-based summer camps.
