Subway biome ‘fingerprints’

Every person has a gut microbiome, a mix of tiny microbes unique to each of us. Geneticist Chris Mason at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City is interested in the microbiomes of cities. In a recent study, he looked at the unique microbial signature of transit systems around the world. He shares his findings with The World’s host Carol Hills.
