Spectators banned from Olympics as Tokyo goes under state of emergency 

Japan’s Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga announced Thursday that Tokyo will be under a state of emergency starting July 12 until Aug. 22. That covers the entire stretch of the Olympics, causing the games’ organizers to ban spectators at all events in the capital city.
