It’s supposed to be a triumphant evening, with US President Joe Biden honoring South Korea’s leader with a state dinner at the White House — a display of strengthening US-Korean solidarity. But things could get awkward given the recent Pentagon leaks that indicate the US has been listening in to conversations taking place inside President Yoon Suk-yeol’s presidential office. Yoon and his cabinet, skewing heavily pro-US, have appeared rattled by news of the intercepts. The World’s Patrick Winn reports.
