There was a major victory for abortion-rights activists in South Korea on Thursday. The country’s constitutional court ruled a ban on abortion there is unconstitutional. South Korea is one of the few developed countries to criminalize abortion. Thousands of protesters had converged at the courthouse in anticipation of the ruling, as the BBC’s Laura Bicker reports.
