Power cuts in South Africa have been increasing this past week. The country’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, skipped the World Economic Forum on Wednesday to return to South Africa and address the problem. The World’s Marco Werman speaks with South African energy expert, Lungile Mashele, about why her country is facing these power cuts and how the ruling African National Congress party is taking the criticism of its handling of the energy crisis.
