Somali mothers send children back to africa from the UK

The World

There were 100 knife attacks this year in the UK. Eight of them involved those of Somali heritage. Somalis make up only 1% of the country’s population, but they’re disproportionately affected by these crimes. Some Somali mothers think Somaliland is safer than London for their sons at this point. Jamal Hassan mentors many of these young men in London. Host Marco Werman speaks with Hassan about why these young men are targeted and how they find themselves in trouble in the first place.
