Singing South African firefighters

South African firefighters are helping to battle the blazes in Canada. When they landed at the Edmonton airport this week, they burst into song. This kind of spontaneous singing springs out of the toyi-toyi tradition in South Africa where, decades ago, chanting and dances would erupt during political protests against apartheid.
