Saudi, UAE leaders won’t take Biden’s calls

The leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates won’t take US President Joe Biden’s phone calls. The relationships between these countries have gotten steadily worse — especially with Saudi Arabia and the UAE refusing to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and refusing to cooperate with the US on surging oil prices. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Kristen Diwan, a senior resident scholar, about the strained relationship between the Gulf States and the US.
