The governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs, announced steps to stop a Saudi Arabian company from using groundwater beneath state land in western Arizona to grow and export alfalfa for Saudi dairy cows. The World’s Marco Werman speaks with Natalie Koch, professor in the geography and environment department at Syracuse University about the water shortage in Arizona, and the role of Saudi agribusiness there.
