Russian agent sentenced

 Maria Butina was sentenced today to 18 months in prison by a court in Washington, DC. The 30-year-old Russian woman pled guilty to being a foreign agent. She admitted to working on behalf of Russia to influence US policy. Prosecutors say she conspired with a Russian government official to seek to “establish unofficial lines of communication with Americans having power and influence.”
