Reporter Charles Maynes tells the story of Nikolai Vasin, a key figure in the Russian-Soviet counter culture, who was best known as the “Soviet Union’s No. 1 Beatles fan.” Vasin died in late August, but Charles had a chance to meet and talk to him earlier this year.
