The spy-turned-novelist John le Carré died on Saturday, age 89. Born David Cornwell, le Carré was his pen name. And, it wasn’t the only part of his writing career that he invented. He authored classics of the genre such as, “The Spy Who Came in from the Cold” and “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.” In his works, he created words in the realm of spycraft that became part of the language British spies used themselves.
