Radical emissions cuts needed to avert catastrophic climate change

The latest big UN climate report dropped on Monday, and the message is clear: There’s still time to hold off catastrophic climate change — but not much. Holding down global warming will require making radical cuts in emissions across all sectors of the economy. The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change, or IPCC, finds that emissions are still rising, and they need to fall by nearly half by 2030 to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The World’s Carolyn Beeler reports.
