Pussy Riot manager arrested

The World

On Sunday morning, Pyotr Verzilov, one of the founders and leading activists with Pussy Riot, was arrested. The authorities broke into his apartment, detained him without warning, and interrogated him for more than 10 hours at the police station. Now, he’s in court, where he’ll most likely get a short sentence of 10 days or so in prison for “disturbing the peace” or for cursing. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Russian lawyer Kirill Koroteev, head of international practice at Agora International Human Rights Group, which has taken up Verzilov’s case.
