One of the most important telescopes in the world, the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, is on the brink of collapse after two supporting cables snapped. Abel Méndez is an astronomer at the University of Puerto Rico who uses the telescope for his research. He speaks to The World’s host Carol Hills about what would be lost if the observatory falls.
