Puerto Ricans fight for benefits, waiting on SCOTUS

Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Rico are hoping they can soon get SSI — Supplemental Security Income. The US Supreme Court is set to hear arguments on a case about it this week. Even though Puerto Ricans are US citizens by birth, they are excluded from certain benefits if they reside in Puerto Rico. Benefits like cash to help people with disabilities, the elderly, and those who struggle financially. The World’s Daisy Contreras has the story.
