Protections for garment workers in Bangladesh set to expire

In Bangladesh, a landmark agreement aimed at keeping garment workers safe, is set to lapse if an agreement can’t be made by May 31. The accord was established in 2013, following the deadliest garment industry accident ever. As Ashley Westerman reports, activists fear that if it expires, it will become nearly impossible to hold brands and retailers that operate in Bangladesh accountable.
