Sarah Hegazi hoisted a rainbow flag at a Cairo pop concert in 2017. A photo of that gesture led to her arrest and torture in an Egyptian prison. She was ultimately released, but fell into a deep depression. Hegazi took her life this past weekend. Her longtime friend, Aya Hijazi, speaks with The World’s host Marco Werman.
