Over 40 countries worldwide have now banned arrivals from Britain over concerns about the spread of a new variant of the coronavirus. The British prime minister effectively canceled Christmas for millions on Saturday, imposing a strict lockdown on London, and surrounding counties. The ban has left thousands stranded at airports and huge tailbacks at Britain’s ports as truck drivers with food and other supplies have nowhere to go. The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry joins us from London.
