Omicron, pandemic treaty negotiations and more

Five days into being declared a new variant of concern, omicron has been detected in at least 20 countries. The new variant is a reminder to the world that the pandemic is far from over.  At the same time, nearly 200 countries reached a historic pandemic treaty agreement on Wednesday, focused on global preparedness and response. The World’s global health reporter Elana Gordon speaks with host Carol Hills about omicron and these latest global developments.
