The Russian Arctic National Park was created in 2009. Now, ten years later, Russia opened a new tourist center on Guker Island, which is part of Franz Josef Land. They’re trying to attract more tourists and, so far, have booked a few successes: Today the first cruise will arrive on Guker Island to visit the tourist center.
