A 20-foot statue of a bracero was unveiled in downtown Los Angeles this past weekend. It honors the hundreds of thousands of temporary workers from Mexico who helped fill labor shortages during World War II. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with artist Dan Medina about the monument he designed and his own personal connection to the bracero program.
