Officials in Mexico City have shut off the water supply to as many as 7 million people. And the outage could last as long as eight days for some residents. But as Emily Green reports from the Mexican capital, this isn’t an emergency measure. It’s a planned interruption meant to allow crucial repairs for the city’s struggling water supply system.
