Migrants in Lithuania

Belarus is using migrants as a political weapon to retaliate against the European Union, which imposed sanctions on the Belarusian government, following its brutal crackdown against political opponents. The government of Alexander Lukashenko in Belarus has been giving visas to Afghans, Iraqis and others, allowing them to fly to Minsk and then helping them travel to the border with Lithuania, which is part of the EU. Reporter Andrew Connelly visited the border area to speak with some migrants and some aid workers helping them.
