Migrant and refugee deaths rise on the Mediterranean

More than 600 migrants have died or disappeared in the Mediterranean this year en route to Europe. Most migrants come from African countries. Recent deadly shipwrecks off the coast of Libya have brought renewed attention to how European policies are impacting migrants and the dangerous conditions of migrants who are returned to Libya. The World’s Halima Gikandi reports.
