Mexican American pop star Trini Lopez dies of coronavirus

COVID-19 claimed the life of another artist this week: Trini Lopez, born into a family of Mexican immigrants who came to Dallas from Guanajuato, had hit records in the 1960s. His rendition of “If I Had a Hammer” was one of his greatest hits.
