Mariupol is still standing

In southern Ukraine, the fight for the port city of Mariupol rages on. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said yesterday that the city has not fallen, but that it is besieged by Russian troops. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also said, “Russian troops are destroying Mariupol,” and that he’s doing everything to ensure Ukraine’s defense. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Maria Zolkina, a senior research fellow at the Democratic Initiatives Foundation think tank.
