Marine life threatened by Mediterranean heat waves

Heat waves in the Mediterranean Sea have led to “massive mortality” of marine species. Host Marco Werman speaks with Gil Rilov of the National Institute of Oceanography at the Israel Oceanographic and Limnological Research (IOLR) in Haifa, Israel, about new research that shows about 50 species — including corals, sponges and seaweed — that have been affected along the Mediterranean coastline.
