Manus Island refugee finds freedom after six years

Behrouz Boochani is a Kurdish Iranian, who was stuck in immigration limbo for more than six years on an island off of Papua New Guinea after being denied entry into Australia. Today, he landed in New Zealand after a group of supporters were able to get him the right papers to leave Manus Island to attend a writers’ festival in Christchurch.
