Friday is the Jewish holiday of Purim when Jews all over the world get dressed up in costume, listen to the story of Queen Esther, act in Purim plays called spiels and consume vast amounts of wine. And as The World’s Sarah Birnbaum reports, it’s a holiday that has special resonance for some in the queer Jewish community.
